IDIS is Alosa’s largest academic detailing program. It was established in 2005 and is currently underway in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

Our independent team of physicians and researchers from the faculty of Harvard Medical School comprehensively evaluate medical journals and other data sources to collect the most objective information available. The team then synthesizes their findings into concise, clinically relevant summaries that serve as decision-making tools for health care providers. These materials are presented to practitioners in their offices by a team of specially trained clinical educators that include physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.

The IDIS program is supported by the PACE Program of the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Vermont Health Care Association and the Vermont Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living.
